An Oh So Exciting Update!

Alright well I was told by my sister, Cassie, last week that I needed to update my blog, so here is my attempt. Really all I do during the week is go to class, take a nap, and do homework! Nothing picture worthy...

One thing exciting did happen this week and that was that I got to meet Ron Hall and Denver Moore, the authors of Same Kind of Different as Me! Which is an amazing, true story of one godly woman that brought together two men who would never have thought they could be friends! ACU picked this book to be read by freshman who wanted to be apart of the Common Reading group, which is basically a book club on campus. So those of us who went to the meetings and read the book were invited to eat dinner with Ron and Denver and listen to people from the community talk about opportunities in Abilene to help the homeless and then Ron and Denver spoke to whoever wanted to come to Moody and get chapel credit as well as the public! Here is Ron speaking... And this is Denver, who preached a little and actually sang for us...it was amazing!
And this is the inside of my book that they signed! Sorry that was really long, but I had to explain everything...
Now this was our attempt to have a fun Friday! It started off by eating yummy Rick and Carolyn's then a boring trip to the Abilene mall, that had us on our way to Target...
This picture makes me laugh...mainly at Katie! ha ha

Here we went to the park to reconnect is to our childhood...

I love this one, I think Katie looks so cute!

The slide wasn't slippery enough...
Okay this next picture needs some explanation... we were on our way back from the park and I was driving down a four lane street, ... I needed to turn left, so I put on my blinker and slid over into (what I thought was a turning lane) and there was a car coming towards me...I thought they were in the turning lane and therefore wanted to turn as well. but they never turned and I was thinking "when are they going to turn? They are going to hit me!" About that time it occurred me...I wasn't in a turning lane after all but in wrong lane heading straight for another car, luckily I had time to move over and the guy just gave me a thumbs up as he passed me! This picture is me and Katie reenacting our reactions to my confusion! : /
Whoops!
Now on to Saturday....WILDCAT FOOTBALL!

Here is the Big Burple as Dr. Willis would say! Also known as the Big Purple!

It was a good game, but we were so far ahead that it got kind of boring and then it would be really hot and then it would rain, not sprinkle but rain, and then it would get sunny, we would dry off and then it would start to rain again...FUN!!!
Anyway this was my update, I am sorry that it is kinda boring...or a lot boring, but I will have an interesting blog soon!

Katie...I can't wait to meet you! I was just reading Cailee's blog thinking..."I haven't met Katie."

Cailee... I love that you go to ACU games. Don't listen to Cassie. Football games are fun! Adam is really proud of you :)

Glad to see you aren't following in your sisters' footsteps by attending ACU football games. I knew I liked you the most out of all the sisters.

Ummm...Let's not talk trash about other sisters, Cortni. It's not nice.

I did not go to football games and I'm ok with that. I'm glad you do...but I don't want you NOT coming home because you are watching the games...I like seeing you too much:)

Also, Adam does not like you best. He just says that. Don't listen to him! :) love you and thanks for updating...FINALLY:) Now give me your info so I can update your blog design!!
